BBQ Wings

This recipe for wings came from my mom’s cookbook. Likely one of her and my dad’s favorites.

Sweet & Spicy Wings
Serves:     10        Preheat Oven Temp:  450

Ingredients List
2 garlic cloves, chopped
2 Tb. chili powder
1 tsp. red pepper flakes
1 cup pineapple juice
1/3 cup soy sauce
1/4 cup brown sugar
2 Tb. sesame oil
3 lb. chicken wings

1 Line a baking sheet with foil and spray with non-stick cooking spray.
2 Whisk together all the sauce ingredients and pour it  into a large ziploc bag.
3 Add the wings to the bag and refrigerate for 3 hours.
4 Do not toss out the marinade. Boil it on the stove for 5 minutes to use for additional basting or as a dipping sauce later.
5 Line the wings on the baking sheet, baste with sauce if desired and bake for 30-35 minutes.
6 Serve hot.

Hints and Tips
Instead of baking the wings in the oven, they are also great grilled outside. Spray the grate with non-stick cooking spray and heat the wings over medium heat for 30 minutes, basting a couple of times while cooking.
