1 cup all-purpose flour     5 ounces

1 cup powdered (confectioners’) sugar         4 ounces
1 cup cocoa powder         3 ounces
1 ounce baking chocolate     1 square
6 ounces chocolate chips     about 1 cup

Butter (salted or unsalted)
4 tablespoons = 1/2 stick = 1/4 cup = 2 ounces
8 tablespoons = 1 stick = 1/2 cup = 4 ounces
16 tablespoons = 2 sticks = 1 cup = 8 ounces

juice of an orange    1/2 cup
juice of a lemon    3 tablespoons
1 medium lemon     2 to 3 teaspoons grated zest
1 pint strawberries     about 2 cups sliced
